Sunday Nights June thru August
When are they held?
General Information about Drive In Services
They are held most Sunday evenings from June through August. The concerts begin at 7 p.m. and last for about an hour to an hour and 15 minutes.
Where are they held?
At our pavilion across the street from our church, 837 S. Nevins, Stanton MI. It’s a beautiful setting on about 4 acres, with tall pine trees as a backdrop behind the pavilion. If you look closely through the trees you can see some of the neighbor’s horses and cattle!
What’s the music like?
Trying to describe the type of Christian music that we have is challenging since there are different individuals and groups with us from week to week. One evening may feature a soloist while another night we may have a trio or quartet – or a larger group than that. Some of the groups that come are strong in their instrumentation, such as the saxophone, keyboard and unique instruments from our American heritage. The various styles include but are not limited to Southern Gospel, Bluegrass, Country/Traditional, Folk and Hymns.
What can you expect if you come?
We welcome you to come as you are for an informal, uplifting and encouraging evening. You are invited to bring a lawn chair and sit in the pavilion close to the musicians, or if you choose, to remain in your vehicle. We did say vehicle, not car, because people have come in cars, pickup trucks, quads, golf carts and motorcycles. Each night we have a brief devotional near the middle of each concert, at which time we “pass the plates” for an offering for those who have come. 100% of what we receive is given to those that have come to minister to us in music.
